Why folks call us first

Service Long After the Sale

Plenty of shops sell fireplaces. Far fewer will look after yours 20 years later. We’ve been doing exactly that since 2001—customers from two decades ago are still in our database, and the shop that sold the unit is the shop that fixes it.

Service work is scheduled on Mondays, and with 28 years of hands-on fireplace service experience, most fixes come down to knowing the trick—a thermocouple, a pilot assembly, a fan that needs the right part.

Book the annual tune-up before the fall rush and a small issue never becomes a cold-night emergency.

Common questions

Service FAQs

Do you service fireplaces you didn't sell?
Usually, yes—gas fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and logs, plus electric units, across most major brands. Tell us the make and what's going on, and we'll be straight about whether it's a unit we can help with.
How fast can you get out for a repair?
Service work is scheduled on Mondays, and we'll get you the next open slot. If it's urgent—no heat in January, or anything that smells wrong—call and we'll talk it through right away.
How much does a service call cost?
It depends on what we find when we get there—most fixes come down to a part and the know-how to fit it. We'll be straight about the likely cost before any major work, and if a unit isn't worth fixing, we'll say so.
Do I need an annual tune-up?
For gas units, a pre-season tune-up is the cheapest insurance there is—it catches small problems before the first cold night and keeps a newer unit's manufacturer warranty in good standing. Book it before the fall rush.
What areas do you service?
About 30 miles around Waterloo—Cedar Falls, Waverly, Independence, Grundy Center, and everywhere in between. Farther out in special situations; just ask.
